Structural modeling using TMM
- Originally formulated to model MDOF systems (Pestel and Leckie, 1963)
- Recently adapted to multi-segment beams with piezoelectric coupling (Wickenheiser, 2012)
- Each segment may have different geometric and material properties
- Properties within each segment are homogenous/constant
